Hello!! My name is Raylee, and I’ve been on and off the carnivore way of eating and unfortunately my skin has hated me for it… After 4 days of use, my dry, cracked, zit invested skin has shifted to a smooth texture, with a beautiful glow. As someone who has also always struggled with dark under eye bags after only FOUR days of using this Tallow I don’t even use concealer anymore for work. My hands, knees, and elbows are also always dry, due to the colder days here in Canada, but after applying this tallow, I already feel my skin is getting more soft & smooth OH and it gets better. I only apply once a day, and these are my results. Four. Days. Crazy!! I put it in my hair before wash day aswell and my hair was so soft, I could run my fingers through each strand with no knots!! (I have crazy curly ringlets) So for me that’s a win:) next pay check I’m going to be buying 2 more of these!! Ps - you don’t need a 5 step skincare routine to have the best results imaginable. I contacted customer service, and they didn't hesitate to issue a refund and also sent me a new package for free. It arrived in just one week to Sweden. Today, their beef tallow signature balm is the only skincare product I use besides a cleanser, and my skin has never looked this good!
Brought this product in September hoping it would help heal my severe sudden eczema, it wasn’t irritating, felt very moisturising and did seem to leave my skin more comfortable, it didn’t “heal” my skin but it’s the first product that hasn’t made it worse, so I love it for that reason. I would love if the original balm had some bigger sizes so I could just buy one big one instead of 4 tiny ones that last me 2 weeks each MAX (I use it alot cos my skin dries out fast). Sadly buying it from Australia makes it a little harder to keep repurchasing as it is a pretty expensive product even without the large shopping fee and I don’t want to have 40 empty little containers by the end of the year. Overall, it is a really good moisturising balm just a-bit of a hassle for the size and price. 😬
I absolutely love this product! I never do reviews or reviews with a photo. I’ve been consistently using this for a year. I quit getting Botox more than 6 months before I started my journey with BasedBalm. I’m turning 44 in December and this has completely changed my skin. I also used the bar soap that used to be offered on the site which was also a game changer. I’m sad it is no longer a product they offer. However, the signature skin balm will forever be my go to. This balm is goated. Ive been wearing it for a couple months & I really enjoy the softness of my cheeks(face) an hour later. Though its small packaging for sure, everytime I use it I think abt how long it’ll last me but the 2oz(in pic) has lasted me close to a month & im a little past halfway(I apply the balm everywhere after showering).
This is an excellent product and I’ve really enjoyed it. They fill the container up to the very top and a little goes super far. It smells amazing and my skin looks and feels excellent. Probably the best it’s ever looked. It’s wholesome enough that you could eat it if you wanted, which is a good mindset to have with the things you put on your body. Love this balm. I use it from my face to my legs. My skin absorbs it well and feels so soft and smooth. I had applied it before going out in the sun for the day and I was very surprised I didn’t burn! It’s now a staple in my skin care routine. It has helped clear my acne as well. I love I can read the ingredient list and understand what’s going into my skin. Shaving my legs has also become easier and no more bumps.

i ordered the summer lime tallow balm & immediately loved the consistency of the product but unfortunately the essential oils they use caused a flare up of perioral dermatitis on my face & arms as well as other breakouts. it’s so so strong! if you have sensitive skin i would stick to the unscented options.
I honestly am not too fond of this new formula. I used to buy the lime scented balm and it was perfectly subtle. Now this new balm scent is way too overpowering and gives me headaches because I am sensitive to scents. I had to switch to the unscented balm which has an exfoliant type of texture instead of the creamy, moisturizing one it used to have. I like the old formula much better.

I’ve been using this product since 2024 and never had any problem with it. This is the first time i’ve bought from them again since their re brand and the consistency is so weird now. It also came melted, which has never happened before. It came clumped up in little ball and the oil of the product separated. I’m actually really sad about this since it’s not the cheapest product. :(
The original formula was absolutely amazing I recommended it to so many people. It was truly my ride or die moisturizer! Unfortunately the new formula does not even come close to comparing. I don’t know if I just got a bad round but the consistency is not nearly as balmy it’s way softer and more oily, it feels like it sits on top of the skin instead of being absorbed, and although the smell is nice it’s way stronger than the original formula. I’m sad because this was truly my favorite product but I’m not sure I’ll be purchasing again after this jar.
